■ THE only goal of the game came right at the death as Brightlingsea Regent eventually took the spoils at Stowmarket.
It was a below par show from the promotion chasers who made hard work against the bottom side.
Max Jolliffe was upended in the area after 34 minutes, but Regent were unable to capitalise from the spot as Kojo Apenteng smashed the ball against the bar.
Marley Andrews forced a fine save from James Askew in the Stowmarket goal after 49 minutes as the visitors continued to huff and puff.
