LEWIS Doyle struck for Runcorn as the Linnets kept their promotion charge on track.
An evenly matched first half saw very few clearcut chances. Chasetown’s closest came when George Cater was closed out by the Linnets defence.
The high-flying visitors took the lead in the 37th minute with Doyle firing beyond Matt Sargeant when a defensive clearance fell to his feet.
Chasetown started the second half on the front foot and Danny Glover forced a save.
