JOHN Murphy scored the only goal of the game on the stroke of half-time to give Prescot Cables all three points in an attritional game against Nantwich Town at The Joseph Russell Stadium.
Cables were the dominant side in the opening half with Kyle Sambor, Franny Smith and Murphy all creating chances in the first half hour.
Murphy then broke the deadlock when he spun his marker and fired low and hard beyond the visiting keeper Scott Moloney.
