SEAN Miller scored a hat-trick as Widnes battered basement-club 1874 Northwich.
The midfielder’s first goal came after 27 minutes, converting a penalty after Jonny Sodhi had been penalised for a foul on Ste Milne.
Widnes’ lead remained slender until midway through the second half when Miller added his second, heading in after Milne’s deft lob bamboozled the Northwich defence.
Sodhi was adjudged to have handled the ball in the area, presenting Miller the chance to complete his treble and he duly obliged.
