After 11 minutes, the Dolphins were two down. Daniel Carr outpaced a Poole defender then lobbing the keeper.
A miscued clearance by Poole then saw Carr’s shot strike the bar. Poole failed to register a shot on target in the first half.
The home side were much improved in the second half with Tony Lee’s introduction having a notable impact.
