Kole Lambert bagged a brace and Henry Swann added the other.
Lincoln United are now just a point behind Sherwood in second after hammering visitors AFC Mansfield 6-0, with Ify Ofoegbu hitting a double and Jake Park, Evan Payne, Bradley Payne and sub Harvey Graves netting a goal each.
