■ A SECOND-HALF fightback from Grays Athletic saw the Friday night fixture taken right down to the wire.
New Salamis went two up in the first half through Joe Waight and Wraynel Hercules, the latter being an incredible solo run.
Salamis started the second half in similar fashion with Waight grabbing his second goal off of a rebound. Grays responded quickly after Phil Roberts broke through the right hand side.
