DECLAN Howe’s 10th league goal of the season helped Gainsborough Trinity extend the gap between them and the drop zone to 14 points, inflicting misery on strugglers Basford United.
First-half substitute Fraser Preston found an overlapping Lewis Butroid for the opener on 30 minutes, before a cutback into a dangerous area saw Basford midfielder Jack Lewis stick out a leg, sending it into his own net.
