AN OPENING win for new manager Ian King was the perfect tonic for Coalville Town to arrest their recent downturn in form.
Having gone three matches without tasting success, prior to the shock departure of Adam Stevens, the arrival of 49-year-old King from divisional rivals Barwell has seemingly given the Ravens the boost needed on day one of his tenure.
An expectedly scrappy start opened proceedings, with both Coalville and the even more out-of-sorts Hitchin struggling to maintain the ball.
