SPALDING’s title ambitions were dented after first-half goals from Desean Martin and Leo Stone helped Bedworth produce a gritty win. The 13th-placed hosts opened the scoring on the half-hour, much to the surprise of the travelling contingent. One man who wasn’t surprised was scorer Martin, who finished coolly to signal the early makings of this upset.
