STOCKTON Town maintained their six--point lead at the top with a gritty away victory at North Ferriby.
A late winner from Adam Nicholson proved to be enough for the league leaders, with the defender poking the ball home after a goalmouth scramble in the 89th minute.
Ferriby almost salvaged a point with their own scramble in injury-time, but it wasn’t to be. Stockton did enough to see the game out, with another three points a huge step to their title quest.
