■ GORLESTON secured victory, despite being given a scare by Maldon.
The hosts opened the scoring in the 25th minute after Kyle Ingram’s initial effort was saved and Ismael Fatadjo followed up.
The Greens doubled their lead six minutes later when Jacek Zielonka’s low shot went under the keeper.
Gorleston looked to have made the game safe after 55 minutes when Ryan Curtis made it 3-0.
However, Maldon reacted with two goals in a minute through Jayden Randell and George Smith to make it 3-2.
