PAULTON crashed to a damaging defeat to near rivals Bashley at Winterfield Road.
Rovers took the lead in the ninth minute. Ed Butcher scoring emphatically from the penalty spot after Martin Lenihan was brought down as he ran across the box.
Bashley equalised in added time at the end of the first half following a fine crossfield move that ended with Conor Whiteley hooking the ball beyond Frankie Phillips in the Paulton goal.
The football, though of low quality, had a bit of an edge to it.
