Abumper crowd of 1,463 saw table-toppers Leek held by Hednesford Town.
The Pitmen took a surprise tenth-minute lead when Blaine Rowe broke into the area and sent a shot underneath Dino Visser.
ALeek corner just before the break saw the Pitmen hang onto their advantage thanks to a double save from Ryan Brown.
During added time, Hednesford dangerman Jai Verma had a shot which landed on the roof of the net.
