Match Preview: Chesterfield v Kidderminster Harriers (Monday, 2pm)

Chesterfield host Kidderminster Harriers in Monday’s match at the SMH Group Stadium looking to bounce back from defeat last time out in the National League.

The Spireites, who sit top of the league after 42 games, fell to a 2-1 away defeat to York City on Friday.

They face a Kidderminster Harriers side who also lost their last match, a 3-1 defeat to Altrincham, and who sit 22nd in the table.

With 101 goals in 42 games so far this season, Chesterfield are the league’s highest scorers with 2.4 goals per game. And they are conceding fewer than average, letting in 57 goals at a rate of 1.4 per game.

Kidderminster Harriers, meanwhile, are below average scorers, with 0.9 goals per game, compared to a league average of 1.5. They have conceded 1.2 goals per game.

The Spireites are in mixed form in the National League, with three wins and a draw from their last six games.

With no wins and four draws over that period, Kiddy’s form is much worse – they have taken four points from 18, compared to the home side’s 10.
