A STALEMATE satisfied neither side fully in their quest for a promotion playoffs place but Runcorn Linnets remain better placed than Nantwich.
Linnets went closest to scoring when Jacques Welsh drilled a shot against a post after 55 minutes, just moments after his close-range effort was blocked on the line by alert Nantwich captain Troy Bourne.
