Lincoln City to host FA Inter League Cup Final

The FA have announced the semi-final draws for the 2024/25 FA Trophy and FA Vase campaigns

The FA Inter League Cup Final between Herts Senior County League and West Yorkshire Association Football League will take place on Sunday 5 May 2024 at Lincoln City’s Sincil Bank.

This term has seen the return of the Inter League Cup for the first time since the 2019-20 campaign, with leagues from Step 5 and 6 entering their representative teams in the competition. There’s also the added bonus of this season’s winners going on to represent England in the UEFA Regions’ Cup.

The last winners of the competition were the Jersey Combination League, who beat the West Cheshire League in the Final at St. George’s Park in May 2021 following the COVID-19 lockdown.

Prior to that the competition took place every two years and this season marks 20 years since the first edition, where the Mid-Cheshire League overcame the Cambridgeshire County League in the final at the Abbey Stadium, home of Cambridge United.

The Hertfordshire Senior County League are looking for their first title, having finished runners-up in 2014, losing the final to the Isle of Man Football League.

West Yorkshire won the 2016 competition, beating the Teesside League at Bootham Crescent to earn a spot in the UEFA Regions’ Cup.
