A BATTLING performance by the Geordies earned a point against promotion hopefuls Gosport Borough at the Powerday Stadium in a match that looked in doubt, due to rain, 24 hours earlier.
In a game where the strong wind dominated, chances were few and far between for both teams, with both looking for points for differing reasons. An early opportunity fell Gosport’s way with Alfie Stanley forcing a save from Hanwell keeper Sam Beasant.
