■ AN eventful and utterly bizarre encounter at the Hudgell Solicitor Stadium saw Newton Aycliffe pick up a victory. Despite the visitors taking a 4-0 lead, the Seasiders came back to net three times, before Newton Aycliffe sealed it late on.
The visitors took a 37thminute lead, when Ethan Wood’s strike from the edge of the area went in off the crossbar.
