JORDAN Gallagher opened the scoring for the Vale in the 31st minute with Tom Barnes quickly doubling the lead five minutes later with a fantastic finish into the roof of the net.
Oliver Mason pulled one back for the Yellas in the 54th minute after robbing the defender of possession, running through on goal and hammering the ball in.
Goalscorer Barnes was dismissed in the 86th minute after a poorly timed challenge on Josh Edwards.
Ascot thought they had nicked a point in the 90th minute when Harry Laflin popped up...
