National League

Match Preview: Barnet v Bromley (Tuesday, 7.45pm)

Barnet face a challenge to maintain their high-scoring form at home against a tight Bromley defence on Tuesday.

With 84 goals in 43 games, Barnet are the second-highest scorers in the National League ahead of the 7.45pm kick-off at the Hive Stadium.

They face a Ravens side who have scored 65 in 42 matches, but conceded only 45 goals, putting them second among the league’s tightest defences – only Southend United have conceded fewer goals.

Barnet are second in the table after 43 games, of which they have won 24 and drawn seven, earning 79 points.

Bromley are one place behind the Bees in third, with 20 wins and 14 draws putting them on 74 points.

In the last 10 years, Barnet and Bromley have played each other on 12 occasions. Barnet won four of them, Bromley five, and they drew three times.

On average, the Bees scored 1.3 goals and the Ravens 1.6 in those matches.

Their last meeting was on March 9, when Bromley won 2-0 at home.

The hosts are in reasonable form in the National League, with three wins and two draws from their last six games.

With two wins and three draws over that period, the Ravens’s form is slightly worse – they have taken nine points from 18, compared to Barnet’s 11.

Barnet’s last match was on Saturday, a 2-2 draw against Maidenhead United, with Callum Stead and Nicke Kabamba getting the goals for the Bees.

Bromley drew 1-1 with Woking last time out, on April 1, with Kido Taylor-Hart on the scoresheet.
