Blues bag play-off despite City defeat

HAVING occupied a top-five spot since mid-August, Warrington Rylands secured their place in the division’s promotion play-offs despite losing 2-1 at home to Lancaster City.
The Dolly Blues, boosting their own faint hopes of a play-off berth here, arrived at the Hive Arena after logging a three-match winning streak and broke the deadlock just before half-time after Rylands had dominated the action without looking likely to score.
