AVRO dented Hednesford’s hopes of survival with an emphatic away win.
They opened the scoring in the 21st minute when Chiekh Thiam played a dangerous cross into the box, which was unfortunately headed into the goal by Pitmen defender Michael Williams.
In the 33rd minute a corner for Avro was headed in at the far post by Gianluca Havern to double the visitors’ advantage.
The Pitmen only had one opportunity in the first half, which saw a shot from Jai Verma cleared off the line by an Avro defender.
