■ SECOND-PLACED Runcorn Linnets were held to a goalless draw by Hanley at Potteries Park in a game that will not live long in the memory of either set of supporters.
The draw prevented the Linnets from making their place in the play-offs mathematically certain.
The best chances came during the first 45 minutes, which saw Sam Barrat testing Hanley keeper Adam Whitehouse after 19 minutes and Kieran Knapper going agonisingly close to heading home Lewis Doyle corner.
