WITTON Albion boosted their promotion hopes with an emphatic win at Trafford, a result that keeps them in the play-offs.
The visitors were on top throughout and took the lead in the 25th minute when Tom Pope swivelled neatly to net from ten yards.
Trafford keeper Sam Booth saved brilliantly to thwart Joe Duckworth from point-blank range, but was helpless in the 53rd minute when Matty Lowton drove home as the hosts failed to clear a deep free-kick.
