LEISTON gained a valuable point to make up for the 5-0 loss at Redditch United last weekend.
Marcus Mehew, making his league debut in place of regular goalkeeper Sam Donkin, who was unavailable, turned in a man-ofthe-match performance, making some fine saves.
Mehew first denied Callum Stewart from a free-kick on four minutes.
Stewart shot over a minute later and Ross Crane went close with Leiston’s first effort on goal, shooting just over from 40 yards.
