COVENTRY Sphinx took a big step towards safety in the NPL Midlands with a draw against Boldmere St Michaels.
The Mikes took the lead in the 23rd minute when Adrian Owiredu-Gyamera won possession on the edge of the box and teed up a tap-in for Owen Parry.
Arousing second-half Sphinx performance resulted in a slew of chances and a vital equaliser from the spot.
