At this this late stage of the season, all that can be hoped for as a bonus is that there is something left to play for. I receive a WhatsApp from The Fox containing a match poster for Melksham Town’s crucial home game with Wimborne Town. That will do nicely!
The chosen match in the Southern League, Division One South has that in spades: if Wimborne win, they are champions. The only side that can spoil the Magpies’ party is Frome, just two points behind. The two sides’ goal differences are identical, too!
