Smith and Patrick leave Sutton

Sutton United have confirmed the departures of Harry Smith and Omari Patrick.

Both were part of their relegation season last term. Striker Smith signed from Leyton Orient last July and made 42 appearances in all competitions, scoring 14.

Winger Patrick, the godson of former sprinter Linford Christie, also arrived last summer. His only season in League Two for Sutton saw him made 35 outings, scoring five.

The club’s official website said:

“We can confirm the departures of Harry Smith and Omari Patrick after just a season at the VBS Community Stadium.

“They have both decided not to take up the offer of a contract extension following the club’s relegation to the National League.

“We thank both for their services throughout the season and wish them all the best in the future.”
