Tim Flowers appointed new Redditch United manager

Macclesfield Town Solihull Moors Tim Flowers Paul McCallum

Former Premier League winner Tim Flowers has taken over as manager of Pitching In Southern Premier Central side Redditch United.

Flowers ended the last campaign in charge at Bromsgrove Sporting, having began 2023/24 with Gloucester City. The former England international has a lot of non-league managerial experience, also overseeing Stafford Rangers, Solihull Moors, Macclesfield Town, Barnet and Stratford Town before his two positions last term.

The 57-year-old, who won the Premier League with Blackburn Rovers in 1995, has replaced Matt Clarke.

Redditch United chairman David Faulkner told the club’s website:

“There are a number of essential criteria that we were looking for in our next appointment. Most notably was to have a manager who could provide for us what our supporters have constantly asked for – stability.

“Tim’s experiences as a player at an elite level, and his success as a manager of the top tier of non-league, will provide a long-term plan for us to continue to build on the performances of the team, alongside the growth of the club.”

Redditch finished 4th last season, losing to Leamington in the play-offs.
