PROMOTED Wythens- hawe Town proved too good for Hanley on Friday as they started life at a higher level in style.
The contest was over inside an hour, and the visitors would have led earlier had it not been for a fine save by goalkeeper Adam Whitehouse to divert Chinedu Uche’s goal-bound effort.
Instead, Wythy went in front after 31 minutes when Uche teed up George Boyd and the former Stevenage and Peterborough attacker’s emphatic finish found the corner.
