■ DIDCOT started life in Division One South by edging past Larkhall Athletic in a tight encounter that perhaps merited a draw.
Larkhall were initially the better side and the Railwaymen had keeper Leigh Bedwell to thank for denying Spencer Dymond-Hall from close range.
Didcot showed little attacking force until the second half, where Luke Preen was twice put through, failing to beat keeper Isaac Finch on both occasions.
