■ BERKHAMSTED en- a dominant start joyed to the season, brushing visitors Stotfold easily aside.
After Luke Andrews’ goal was ruled out, a swift counter-attack from Stotfold saw Ryan Frater brought down in the box, Robin Buchanan’s resulting penalty being saved by keeper Josh Bowler.
A low cross by Andrews then deflected off Aaron Diviney into his own net, giving Berkhamsted the lead after 44 minutes.
