■ AN Andrew Dythe goal proved the difference for Erith as shot-shy Lancing’s early season struggles continued.
Erith were indebted to their two Taylors as Harry set up Dythe for the winner and goalkeeper Tommy saved a second-half spot kick.
Dythe volleyed in a Taylor cross after 18 minutes to give Erith a second victory from two games. Lancing were quite literally made to pay the penalty for their form in front of goal when Luke Robinson was tripped by Rahman Kareem but the No.9’s weak penalty was an easy second-half save for the other ...
