■ KONNOR Lamb’s goal just after the hour mark saw Heaton Stannington knock 2016 winners North Ferriby out of this season’s FA Trophy.
A sweeping ball forward from the Stan captain Joe Shepherd fell to Lamb. H e went one-on-one with Ferriby goalkeeper Ben Bottomley before firing it into the goal.
North Ferriby rested several key players but was more than comfortable in the North East with Tom Corner going close midway through the first
half but, his effort was deflected out for a corner.
