KANE Haysman scored the only goal of the game as Herne Bay overcame Northwood at the Crest Stadium.
A non-descript first half was highlighted only by Haysman’s goal in the 18th minute.
Capitalising on a mix up between the goalkeeper and defender, he knocked the ball into the empty goal.
Apart from that, Bay struggled to break down a packed Northwood defence.
The second period followed the same pattern with Northwood putting in a much greater effort despite which they never really threatened Bay’s keeper Brooks.
