PLAYER ARREST STOPS MATCH

A SECOND-TIER Welsh club has sought to draw a line under the arrest of one of its players during a match last weekend.
Baglan Dragons had fought back from a two-goal deficit to lead Cwmbran Celtic 4-3 in JD Cymru South when South Wales Police arrived at the Evans Bevans Playing Field, Baglan, near Port Talbot.
There was a brief stoppage to allow for one of the players to be arrested but it has since been confirmed by police that he was later released without charge.
