NPL East newcomers Sherwood Colliery were the victors in a tight encounter against Ossett United.
A game of few chances saw a penalty rebound as the difference between two evenly matched teams.
The Colliers started the brighter forcing Ossett keeper Alek Pretrovic into a smart save after just 17 seconds.
