SAM KUFFOUR netted the winning spot-kick as Maldon & Tiptree progressed on penalties.
The tie took off as the hosts’ Lewis Watson converted from a corner in the eighth minute.
Protestations from goalkeeper Ross Durrant for being held fell on deaf ears and Maldon made the most of their momentum to double their advantage 20 minutes later.
