CONGLETON Town overcame higher league opposition in Hyde United to advance to the fourth qualifying round of the FA Trophy.
Hyde had the better chances in the first half but were made to rue not taking them as the game progressed.
The best opportunity came through the dangerous Jack Redshaw as he forced an excellent reaction save from David Parton on 30 minutes.
As the game advanced, it looked as if neither side were going to break the deadlock and penalties were looming. However, Congleton took the initiative and found the all important winner in the 78th minute. ...
