CHATHAM Town returned to winning ways with a narrow victory over Wingate & Finchley to earn their spot in the fourth-qualifying round of the Isuzu FA Trophy.
The Chats got off to a fine start and were knocking on the door for the lead. As pressure mounted, the visitors Wingate found themselves a goal down after 24 minutes.
Elegant play between Freddie Sears and Jamie Yila saw the ball fire across goal and Jordy Mongoy was on hand at the back post to fire Chatham into a 1-0 lead.
