TWO goals in time added on from subs Isaac Bello and Mo Jammeh saw Chichester progress.
Herne Bay might have broken the deadlock in the fifth minute but for a super save at point-blank range from Chi keeper Kieran Magee.
Mo Kamarah then pulled one wide before Ethan Prichard fired over.
Prichard shot narrowly wide just after the half-hour mark and Jack Parter netted only to be flagged offside. The Kent visitors went close in the 60th minute and Chi weren’t far away moments before Bello and Jammeh were introduced.
