A tightly-contested Yorkshire derby saw Bradford Park Avenue grab a narrow in at Garforth thanks to a cracking volley from the edge of the box by Connor Shanks.
A rather uneventful first half saw both teams string good passages of play together but neither could find the opener. A scuffed, close-range Patrick Sykes effort for Avenue just before the interval should have given the Green Army the lead.
