MARGATE struck late in each half to seal the deal in the first ever league meeting between the Lancers and the Gate.
Player/manager Ben Greenhalgh had twice struck the upright before Lancing captain Harry Docherty turned a harmless looking cross past Gate keeper Alieu Secka.
Docherty soon atoned for his error, curling his set piece around the wall to equalise after the hour. Both sides could have restored the lead until, in the 89th minute but substitute Jordan Ababio played the decisive hand, catching Lancing on the counter moments after Noel Fisher...
