DOVER Athletic closed the gap at the top of the Isthmian Premier League standings after a hard-fought win at Whitehawk.
Whites boss Jake Leberl heralded his side’s performance in East Sussex, labelling it their best performance of the season as they moved just one point behind leaders Lewes.
In a quiet first half, both sides failed to really create an opportunity – with Chris Whelpdale testing former Hawk Mitch Walker the closest either side came to breaking the deadlock in the first 45 minutes.
