BAX BACK IN TOWN

ARMTHORPE Welfare have re-appointed James Baxendale as the new manager – just days after he quit Premier Division outfit Frickley Athletic.
It is the second spell in charge at Armthorpe for former Leeds United, Doncaster Rovers, Walsall and Mansfield Town player.
Baxendale first took charge of the Northern Counties East Division One club in August 2023. Under him, Armthorpe avoided relegation from Step 6.
He has replaced Greg Beswick and his number two Josh Schofield, who parted company with Armthorpe in September.
