ALVECHURCH were made to pay for wasting golden chances as Gregory Kaziboni’s second-half strike gave St Ives a narrow victory.
Coming into the game Alvechurch were looking to turn their form at Lye Meadow around, having won just two of their six home league games this term.
They met a Saints side who had three defeats in four away league outings.
The hosts started on the front foot with Kieran Wakefield and Joseph Willis both having efforts which tested their visitors’ resolve.
