GOSPORT Borough marked their return to the AEI Stadium by claiming a narrow victory.
The hosts started quickly under sunny skies and scored within six minutes in controversial circumstances as Asher Yearwood converted a deflected shot despite looking offside.
Bradley Tarbuck then saw a tame curling shot saved by the away keeper before Ryan Gosney easily caught a threatening free-kick.
