Kingstonian wheel turns full circle as Harris returns

A TURBULENT week at Kingstonian went full-circle on Thursday with Scott Harris returning as manager six days after quitting.

Harris, appointed in April, had resigned with Ks chairman Yioryos Vasilaras claiming the call had been “solely based” on the manager “not enjoying football”, particularly “in the current toxic environment created by a segment of our supporters”.

Kingstonian Supporters’ Club contacted The NLP to say Harris had “enjoyed the full support of all Ks fans”, citing ongoing off-field disputes between fans and the club’s directors, particularly related to progress on securing a new home for the nomadic club, as the source of ongoing disquiet.

BACK IN CHARGE: Harris

The statement confirming Harris’ return, which did not quote any individual, expressed delight at the outcome “after positive discussions this week”.

“We look forward to carrying on with our promising start to the season,” it added.
