■ WELLINGBOROUGH Town edged past Hinckley LRFC to leave the hosts four points adrift of survival.
Hinckley got off to a bad start when captain Joseph Lyne was given his marching orders for handling the ball inside the area to deny a clear goalscoring opportunity in the 29th minute.
Jordan Graham quickly converted from the resulting spotkick in the 31st minute.
Down to ten men, Hinckley gave themselves an impossible mountain to climb and one they eventually failed to mount to hand Wellingborough all three points.
